Does “humility and meekness”, as an aspect of character, have a voice in heaven?

humility-and-meekness
We as believers are familiar with “seeing in the spirit”, “hearing in the spirit” and “sensing in the spirit”. The Lord is inviting us to go deeper, knowing Him and His wonderful creation beyond our natural senses, in many ways challenging us.

The Kingdom of God in heaven is designed to function in multi dimensions, much like how the human was originally created to co-operate and co-exist. Every created thing in the heavenly realm is alive and prosperous, to the praise and the glory of our magnificent Lord Jehovah.

A pleasant encounter with an apostle from the cloud of witnesses deepened my understanding of the importance of walking in the character of the Lord Jesus. And how this is perceived by our Abba Father in heaven.

In this encounter we were in the heavenly realm, as this great man of God patiently explained the verse from the Bible.

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

1 Peter 3:4 King James Bible

But be adorned in the secret person of the heart and in a humble spirit which is uncorrupted, an excellent ornament before God.

Aramaic Bible in Plain English

“Abraham was a very difficult man to live with”, stated the amazing man of God, choosing his words carefully as he continued “Not because of his nature, but because of his great calling”.

“The Lord often called Abraham to do things much out of the ordinary, which any woman would find difficult to adhere to under those circumstances. But Sarah, with her gentle, humble and quiet spirit, cooperated fully, to see the call of God on her husband Abraham’s life come to pass. This is what the Abba Father calls ‘ An excellent Spirit’.”

“This character of Sarah, which is a very evident nature of the Lord Jesus, went up before the Lord not only as a sacrificial smell, but also as a very powerful sound.”

The godly character goes up before the Father as a powerful sound? I repeated his last sentence, trying desperately to grasp this in my limited understanding.

Suddenly, the whole scene shifted and I saw the man of God and me diminish in size and huge rock like structures appear around us, camouflaged in the ‘mist’ of the glory.
I heard very loud “boom” of voices thunder, as they bounced off the rocks and echoed, sending shivers down my spine.

“This is the voice of the spirit of Humility”, he said, satisfied with his explanation and demonstration of this awesome character of Sarah.

When we pray, our prayers go before the Father as a sweet smelling incense.

Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Ps 141:2 King James Bible

And when he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.

Rev 5:8 New Living Translation

Similarly, when we walk in the “character” of the Lord Jesus, replicating His humble nature on earth, this also goes up before the Lord as a powerful voice/sound. Even in the midst of our difficult circumstances, when we display the humble and meek spirit of Sarah and the Lord Jesus, Abba Father stops His important tasks, to listen and savour the smell and the sound of our humble nature.

Great are the rewards for those who walk humbly before the Lord, for they touch the very heart of the Abba Father.
