Godly Fear

Godly-fear
We need to be prepared to take radical, bold steps of faith and move with God. If we have doubts in our hearts and fail to obey and follow His ways, we may be in grave danger of deception.

Godly fear, unfortunately, is a very repulsive term among many believers today. The Happy, Prosperity Gospel has taken the precedence.

Is The Gospel man-made or the one Christ laid His life for? I often wonder. Even the genuine Christians are somehow coerced to believe otherwise.

It breaks my heart. But then who am I?

What does the Lord feel about this?

The truth of the matter is there are 2 Sides of the Lord, “Truth and Grace”. The Lord does discipline whom He calls sons (Hebrews 12:6). And discipline is not always sweet. It can be harsh and fearful.

But there is grace of God to help us through this process. Question is are we willing?

Had a spine chilling encounter in my prayer time recently. The Spirit of the Lord urged me to write about this.

Brace for impact, beloved ones, as the Lord gives us the grace to examine our hearts and repent.

The Spirit of the Lord said “write what you hear”. Simultaneously, I was seeing in the Spirit.

I saw the Spirit of New Jerusalem come down from God in blazing fire and full glory. It looks like the “consuming fire” that is mentioned in Hebrews 12:29.

I saw the Spirit of New Jerusalem move over the church, judging and testing their hearts. A godly fear gripped my heart and I felt faint.

3 things, the Lord said, will happen as the Spirit of New Jerusalem hovers over the church.

  1. Callous (hard hearted) and lukewarm christians will fall and experience instant death.
(Like Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5:1-11)
  2. Scores of people will experience the hunger for the word of God, but when the word is given, they will reject the word and fall prey to deception. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-3).
  3. The true worshippers of the Lord will worship and seek the Lord in Spirit and truth. They will be caught up in the Spirit of New Jerusalem, where they will be purified even more (John 4:23, Ephesians 5:27), before entering the actual New Jerusalem.

6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your hearts [and taken complete possession of them].
7 But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the [a]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you].
8 And He, when He comes, will convict the world about [the guilt of] sin [and the need for a Savior], and about righteousness, and about judgment

John 16:6-8 Amplified Bible

This is the hard truth, if the Holy Spirit does not convict you of sin, righteousness and judgement, then there is something wrong with your anointing.

There is only one that can that tell us if we are prepared or not, that is the Dear Holy Spirit. I sincerely urge that we seek the Lord about our lives and be open to the Lord’s correction and guidance.

Its time to really seek God and repent of our Lukewarmness. The time for the separation of wheat from the chaff has started a few years back but its fulfilment process has now begun.

We have to get rid of our old ways of thinking, as the Lord will definitely not move according to our theology and within our scheme of understanding.

Like my good friend said, this new move of God is unprecedented. There has been nothing like this before. We need to be prepared to take radical, bold steps of faith and move with God. If we have doubts in our hearts and fail to obey and follow His ways, we may be in grave danger of deception.
