Sacrificial Giving

treasures-in-heaven
Have you ever given up anything for God? I don’t mean the bad habits or your old ways of life. Have you sacrificially, voluntarily given up things that you held close to your heart?

There are these little things we all treasure, a little something to help us remember that special moment. A small memento of sorts. A card from a loved one, the first gift from your hubby, photo albums, it could be anything.

One of things that I treasure are the hand drawn cards my daughter has made for us over the years, since the time she could draw.

Our Abba Father also has these treasures that he places close to His heart. Things that concern you and me. It could be a small thing, which you could have forgotten, but not the Abba Father.

Sometimes the journey with the Lord is not easy. There are things that need to “go” from our lives to be close to the Lord.

Have you ever given up anything for God? I don’t mean the bad habits or your old ways of life. Have you sacrificially, voluntarily given up things that you held close to your heart? A job that you have dreamed of, or a career that you always wanted, a close friend. The list could be anything that hinders your walk with God.

This encounter with the Abba Father will reveal the heart of the Father that shows everything that you do for Him, He treasures.

I was with the Father in heaven and He said “I want to show you something that is very close to my heart”.

The Lord took me to what looked like a massive godown, with very high walls. When the Father opened the door, I saw an enormous room, which literally had no end to it on any side, as far as my eye could go on either side of the room.

I  saw individual treasure chests loaded with gems. Millions of them.

Each of these golden treasure chests had valuables in them. Some of them were overflowing with precious stones, gold, diamonds, while some of the boxes had pearls and other valuables. They all looked so sparkling and glistened under the warm glory of the Lord which filled the room.

“What are these treasure chests Father?” I asked, very curious at this point.

“These are the sacrifices my children have made for me” said the Father as a small tear drop escaped His eyes, brimming with love.

I saw the sweet aroma from the earth come up before the Father. The aroma of a sacrificial offering.

Whenever anyone makes a small sacrifice on earth for the Lord, even the most insignificant one, it goes up before the Lord as a sweet aroma (Num 15:3, Eph 5:2). The Lord then converts this smell of our sacrifice into tangible, valuable precious treasures and stores them in individual chests with our names on it.

I saw the Father walk into this room, on a day that His heart was very heavy and His face was sullen, and His countenance immediately changed to joy as He saw how much His children loved him.

Abba Father goes into this “Room of Sacrifice” often, reliving the moments when His beloved children demonstrate their love for Him. Father picks up the treasure in His hands and the whole scene of His beloved’s act of love is displayed right in front of His eyes. This melts the heart of the Father.

When our time has come, and our earthly assignment is done, you will see that your sacrifices were not in vain. Your treasure chest, with your name engraved on it, will be overflowing with your love for our Abba Father.
