What happens when the going gets tough? Abba Father gets funny!
Well, at least that’s what happened in my case.
We have been through some rather heavy spiritual warfare, not to mention my health that had me bogged down for weeks. Let’s just say it was not pleasant.
Abba Father showed up unexpectedly, and in a jolly good mood. Much like an excited small child with a dose of sugar rush (Mom’s, you know what I mean..)
Father looks at me with a twinkling in His eye and says animatedly “You need to loosen up a bit”.
Lo and behold a fancy looking bike appears. And since this is a heavenly bike, resembling a Harley Davidson mean machine, it was a notch higher. It was built in pure gold light, long sturdy handles, big bulky tyres- all glistening and shimmering in gold. Did I mention it had wings? Oh yes it did!
“Come inside me” said the Father. I actually went inside His transparent spirit body, as He hopped on His bike.
Vroom we went, galavanting across the galaxies, zipping past the stars and planets.
How did that feel? Words cannot describe it. I wouldn’t be doing justice to it.
After a thrilling ride, Father got off the bike and I stepped out of Him, now standing face to face. “Would you like something to drink?” Father asked and before I could nod my head, he cupped His hands and was instantly filled with a golden liquid. He splashed this on my face as He laughed with glee.
“Let’s swim” Abba said pointing out a large body of water “I will race you to that end”. He said 1, 2, 3 as I was all geared up in position and dived right in. I barely started and the Father was already at the finish point. “Not fair Father” I sulked, not amused at all.
Father laughed uncontrollably.
He grabbed my hand and took me to smooth gold mountain range that served as “large slides”, like in an amusement park. We started at the tip of a large mountain , came sliding down in great speed and continued to another smaller mountain. We finished this ride by landing on a small white fluffy cloud. Thud…
I cried with joy! “I love you Father” is all I could say, amidst the tears.
“Your presence makes me happy” He said and kissed my hand with love.
Father God cares for us and loves us. His expression of love is pure and unconditional, unfathomable.
Thank you dear Father…
Look with wonder at the depth of the Father’s marvellous love that he has lavished on us! He has called us and made us his very own beloved children. The reason the world doesn’t recognise who we are is that they didn’t recognise him.
