Among all the things that were created, Mrs Jesus is the only one that was not created as single living entity, like Eve was for Adam. The Bride of Christ is the only one, that is being moulded continuously, bit by bit, into the image that the Father has in mind for His precious Son. Pure, holy, blameless, without a wrinkle, a spot or blemish. (Ephesians 5:27)
Adam couldn’t wait to see his bride, his companion, even though the waiting period was very short. How much more the heart of the Lord Jesus is yearning for the one He loves. Lord Jesus has been waiting for eternity (for we don’t know how long Heavens existed before the earth) + 6000 years, and probably a few more years, before He sees His bride in perfection.
Oh! If only you could see the heart of the Lord Jesus, pain for your love, your time, your intimacy.
Sometime back, we women gathered in our friend’s house for prayer. We always pray and seek the Lord to find out when and where He wants us to meet for prayer. We were led by the Lord to meet at this friend’s place this time around.
We agreed on a date and met at the appointed time and began to seek the Lord. All of us knelt down and worshipped the Lord, singing in unknown tongues and lost in His love. Immediately, the Lord graced us with His profound presence.
Seeing the Lord Jesus standing in the corner of the living room, tears pouring down His eyes. His face was very sad and His head hung low. I was shocked and went up to the Lord, trying to wipe His tears from His face. Instead of tears, now it was streams of His Blood flowing through His eyes. His blue robe had a thick line in the middle, soaking with His red blood , right down to His ankle.
For a minute, I froze! my mind going blank, heart racing and tears automatically streaming down my face. I mustered enough courage and asked the Lord about His deep anguish. To my horror, I literally saw tiny, shapeless pieces of the Lord’s heart strewn recklessly all over the floor, with blood in it that seemed like it has been in that state for many years. It looked like someone ripped the heart of the Lord Jesus mercilessly and threw it everywhere.
The sight shocked me to bits…
Then the Lord showed me how this happened.
Everyday, the Lord would eagerly wait for this friend of mine to return from work. She is single and stays all by herself. She returns home at 6.30 in the evening and then attends to her daily chores. Around 8 pm, she has time to relax.
Our Lord Jesus, very patiently waits for her everyday at her house at 8pm, hoping to spend time with her and share His heart with her. Sadly, almost everyday, she finishes her daily chores and lies down on the couch, resting and watching TV. The Lord Jesus is completely ignored, and His heart is torn into shreds, bleeding profusely.
Later, she gets up from her couch and tramples on the torn heart of the Lord, completely oblivious of the Lord’s pathetic condition. When I saw her walk on bruised pieces of the heart of Lord, totally unaware, it broke my heart.
A pitiful sight it was!
The Bridegroom is love sick, in this case literally, and yet the Bride knows nothing about it.
Since that day, this friend of mine has repented and is a renewed person now.
The point I am trying to make is, we all know we need to be intimate with the Lord. Do we really know what the Lord goes through if we are NOT intimate with Him?
The greatest pain the Lord goes through is not when someone sins, nor is it when Jesus is maligned or the cruel abominations. The greatest pain he has to endure is when His Bride ignores Him.
Intimacy is not just a word, nor is it a feeling, it is a selfless act of commitment-to love unconditionally. It is committing to be there for the Lord, and exercising it every single day of your life, despite all odds, simply knowing Him and loving Him.
The Lord doesn’t need money or charitable works or even ministry. The Lord needs You and the time that you spend with Him.
There is a beautiful and holy glory of God that the Lord wants you to walk in. The key to this glory is Intimacy with the Lord.
Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
